Valle Crucis Community Park Tiny Porch Series

Featuring The Harris Brothers

828 Real Estate recently hosted and sponsored the Valle Crucis Community Park (VCCP) Tiny Porch Series featuring the Harris Brothers on July 24th, at 182 Lower Crab Orchard Road, listed by Sarah Long. The Harris Brothers are local High Country favorites and are so much FUN to listen to! The Harris Brothers are music lovers. Their infinite live repertoire consists of any number of genres including traditional roots music, rock & roll, jazz, blues, Appalachian mountain music, to vintage country and bluegrass. A typical live show effortlessly shifts from original tunes to their own arrangements of songs from all sides of the Americana musical spectrum.

History of Valle Crucis Community Park

With the 182 Lower Crab Orchard Road being so closely located to the Valle Crucis Community Park, there’s lots of communal recreation activities that you can become a part of! Valle Crucis is North Carolina’s first rural historic district and is known for it’s historic destinations. In 1983, members of the Valle Crucis Community joined forces to preserve a 12-acre tract of land along the Watauga River that was slated for development as a recreational vehicle campground. Their efforts were successful, and the VCCP was born. The park’s founders held a clear vision for the land: That it should remain undeveloped, as a recreational and gathering space for the community, in perpetuity. Today, Valle Crucis Community Park has grown into a 28-acre destination for High Country residents as well as visitors to the area. The park is open to the public year-round and provides space for a variety of outdoor activities.

My husband and I reside in downtown Boone and have 2 beautiful children, Sadie Rose and Levi.
