Lost Province

Lost Province is Downtown Boone’s brewery and gastropub with amazing pizza and even better beer. They often have live music from local bands playing on the stage in the corner of the restaurant, and I have been known to get up and show some dance moves from time-to-time.

One of my favorite beers they brew is called “Pink Velvet.” It is a low alcohol, raspberry flavor with a tad bit of tartness. How fitting for Valentine’s Day? It’s pink!

Talia Espresso

Talia Espresso is new to Downtown Boone, but isn’t a new business. The bistro-style coffee house has multiple locations that specialize in fresh sustainable foods, connected community and, of course, delicious espresso-based beverages. Imagine grabbing a warm coffee and going for a snow-covered stroll down King Street with your sweetheart! It sounds like a dream.

Romantic Restaurants in Boone

Nothing is better than enjoying food with the one you love. Even if you just want take out, there are plenty of options for you to experience. Here are some romantic restaurant options you can find in Downtown Boone.

Vidalia

One of my favorite parts about Vidalia is the chalkboard that states where each ingredient comes from locally. The owners carry a mission of providing high-end, locally-sourced cuisine. While in college at Appalachian State University, this was where the college students went for a “fancy date,” but really, I just enjoyed it because the food is so good. You can’t go wrong with the Highland Meadows Cattle Company Meatloaf!

Carolina Pizza Co.

Can you go wrong with pizza? No way! Carolina Pizza Co. is a fun and light hearted way to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Located directly across from Boone Saloon, they offer dine-in, take-out and delivery [for those looking for a more romantic vibe at home]! They have a great selection of domestic and craft beers available. Depending on the weather, you can sit under the covered front patio and watch people pass by Downtown Boone.

Where to Buy Valentine’s Day Gifts in Boone

If you’re looking for a place to buy a Valentine’s Day gift in Boone, you’re in luck. Our community is full of artisans who craft unique items anyone would love to receive.

Common Good Co.

About once a week, I visit Common Good Co. and their art gallery upstairs. This artisan-based store has quality goods that are often produced locally. You can find a little bit of everything here, and the items in stock are always changing! There’s something new all the time and a little bit of something for everyone. I often find myself wandering around and finding inspiration in everything they have.

The Shoppes at Farmers

Shoppes at Farmers is a one-stop shop for all kinds of things! If you and your friends are into gag gifts, this is also a great spot. There are kitchen gadgets, jewelry, children’s gifts, homemade and local items. Especially if you’re running late, it’s a great spot to stop by quickly!
